Barbados is an island on 166 square miles. It is the most easterly of the Caribbean islands. Its stability is supported by the fact that it has the third oldest parliament in the British Commonwealth.
It boasts a rich collection of architectural styles ranging from great plantation houses to luxury modern villas. Barbados was first discovered by the British in l625. They were very impressed with its fertile flat land and attractive coast line and claimed Barbados in the name of the King of England.
In 1961 the Sandy Lane Hotel was built and the surrounding areas were developed. This was the first development of its kind on the island. The tourism and property product is diverse and offers a wide range of accommodation which includes hotels, villas, tifneshare, condos and guest houses.
